VILMOS HUSZAR

Vilmos Huszar is one of the founding fathers of the De Stijl movement. He was the co-founder of the De Stijl magazine and created the first cover for the magazine. Huszar used the type as art for the name of the product. He didn't not make the background have any special effects because his focus was to make the audience to focus on what is being sold to the customers. I think that Huszar used yellow as the background color because he wanted to get the focus of the potential customer.

TRISTAN TZARA

Tristan Tzara (born as Samuel Rosenstock) was one of the founding founders in the movement of Dada. I think that Tzara used the type as the art. Because of the way that the words are arranged on the page shows that the design doesn't need an image. My eyes are immediately attracted to the words "BULLETIN DADA". The only thing that I would change about the design is the colors. I feel that it makes the design look dull than to have it look as good as it is suppose to be.

LASZLO MOHOLY-NAGY

Laszlo Moholy-Nagy was a well known professor at the Bauhaus school. The typography was used as art especially with the letter T. The point was to make art with the letters instead of using an image. The first thing that my eyes caught was the "T" that was made into a building. I think that the structure was creative and well done.

MILTON GLASER

Milton Glaser is creator of the "I Love NY" logo. He also helped founded the New York Magazine In this design, he doesn't do too much on the design by adding a lot of effects. The different colors on the letters of the "ARTS" shows that art is colorful and creative. I love the effects of the stars. I think the stars symbolizes the celebration of the arts.

HERBERT BAYER

Herbert Bayer is known for creating the type universal. I love this piece because of the variety of fonts, colors, and the use of images. I think that this is an informational poster because of the smaller text. Even though the word "Jahresschau" and the images dominate the poster, you will still be able to notice the smaller text.

HERB LUBALIN

Herb Lubalin is the creator of the ITC Avant Garde type which is the type used in this design. The typography is very symmetric and kept in a neat proportion. I think that he used the ITC Avant Grade type not only to show off his type but he used it as art. I like how he made the T in the word monumental. His reason for making it the way you see it is because the original T would not fit.
